About Us

Telling compelling stories on film and in audio

Our Story

In 2020, during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, founder, Andy Bell, had a vision that he wanted to bring together a collective of the most talented people he’d worked with during his 20-year career at the BBC. His idea was that these people, who made incredible audio, video, and photographic content, could continue to do so with a level of freedom and creativity that they were unable to express previously.

When the idea started to come together, the collection of people Andy had gathered realised that the skills they had went further than just creation of content and extended into project management, training and consultancy. The breadth of the skill base made the project real and 9 months later, the company was founded.

We’ve started our journey making incredible podcasts for the BBC and private-sector individuals. We fly 4K-enabled drones for events, construction, broadcast, agriculture and more (you can find out more at www.mi-drones.co.uk) and using our long-standing videography experience to create promotional videos for clients.

The Melting It mission statement stands at the heart of everything. We believe that everyone has a story to tell and we want to tell those compelling stories in audio and video formats. Every part of what we do tries to tell real-life stories. Even if we’re making a video to help sell goods and services, we’re a part of that story and we’d love to be able to help you tell yours.

Liam’s our Swiss Army Knife - we haven’t found anything he can’t turn his hand to yet! He’s our tech guru, our website designer, our social media specialist and, probably most importantly, he’s one of our audiophiles.

His background is in sport journalism and he has over ten years experience presenting radio and podcasts, commentating on major sporting events and crafting award-winning documentaries with the BBC. He’s worked in Radio, TV and written media for some of the biggest companies in the world including with the BBC, Sky, ITV and Manchester United.

Liam’s also been the producer for some of the most popular sports radio programmes too; including BBC 606 and Fighting Talk. He created the most downloaded sport podcast on BBC Local Radio , Red Wednesday, before going on to be the Manchester United reporter for BBC Radio Manchester. Presently, Liam’s rolling out 40 local radio sport podcasts for the BBC.

He’s currently the match day commentator for Manchester United TV covering the first team, U18s, U21s and women’s games.

Liam’s also our CAA qualified drone pilot, flying our 4K enabled drone fleet.
